Baltimore man arrested on Crack Cocaine Charges

On August 1, 2018, the Allegany County Narcotics Task Force and the Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack, arrested Byron Jamar Simms, Baltimore, in the 300 block of Henderson Ave Cumberland, MD.

 

Simms was the subject of a CDS investigation for the distribution of crack cocaine in Allegany County.  Simms was found to be in possession of felony amounts of crack cocaine packaged for sale.  Simms also provided a false name to investigators.  As a result of the investigation, Simms was charged with the following:

 

CDS: POSS W/I DIST: NARC

CDS: POSSESS-NOT MARIJUANA
        CDS:POSSESS-NOT MARIJUANA

CDS:POSS MARIJUANA 10 GM+

FALSE STMT STATE OFFICIAL

 

Simms was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held without bond.
