Baltimore Street Bridge project subject of meeting next week

The Engineering Department for the City of Cumberland would like to notify the public that on Tuesday, 1/21/2020, that there will be a public work session to permit Wilson T Ballard, the City’s consultant, to present the preliminary plans for the future Baltimore Street Bridge Rehabilitation Project.

 

This project shall replace the 99’-0” long by 60’-0” wide steel plate girder bridge with a new superstructure of the same dimensions between Greene Street and North Mechanic Street. The project is being funded through the Federal Highway Bridge Program from the Federal Highway Administration.

 

Representatives from Wilson T Ballard and the Cumberland City Engineer shall present the project in a public work session to the Mayor and City Council. The general public is urged to attend to observe the presentation and provide comments on the project. The presentation shall include a description of the project, sequence of construction and maintenance of traffic plans.

 

The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 57 North Liberty Street, Cumberland, MD 21502, from 5:00pm – 6:00pm. Any questions leading up to the meeting should be directed to the Engineering Department at 301-759-6600.
