Bartlett Points to Gerrymandering for Congressional Unseating

November 16th, 2012 by WCBC Radio

In one of his first post-election interviews, Maryland 6th District Congressman Roscoe Bartlett told WCBC news that he believes Democratic gerrymandering and sparse support from fellow Republicans cost him the seat he was held for 20 years.   Democrat John Delaney, a Montgomery County financier, defeated the 10-term congressman by 20 percentage points Nov. 6 in a district that changed from majority Republican to majority Democrat after the boundaries were redrawn by the state’s Democratic leaders last year.  Although Bartlett raised $1.1 million, his highest total ever, Delaney outspent him 3-to-1.

Just wonder how much of that Delaney money came from out of state? Now we really have no representation. We in Allegany and Garrett County have been Gerrymandered out of existance.

Bartlett lost his seat like so many other republicans because of his views. The majority of americans realize this is a melting pot of many many different people. Not just white upperclass straight males. Thats why we voted to move america forward not backward.just for the record. I am a white middle aged, middle class educated mother
