Shari Ross, fifth grade teacher at Beall Elementary School and the coordinator of the school's St. Jude Math-a-thon fundraiser, worked with teachers at Beall to create Easter bonnets to auction as part of this year's fundraising campaign. The teachers modeled them for the students on during the school's live morning announcements, and students could then purchase tickets for a chance to win the bonnet of their choice. On Thursday, March 24, 2016, Beall held an assembly to announce the winning tickets. Beall was successful in raising $580! The Math-a-Thon is still ongoing with a coin drive and a collection of math pledges. The school hopes to hit it's goal of $2,000.
