The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is now accepting applications for the 2016 Black Bear Hunting Season, which will run from October 24th through the 27th in Allegany, Garrett, Washington and Frederick Counties. 750 hunting permits will be issued this year, an increase of 250 from the 500 issued for last year's hunt.
