Bill Banning Synthetic Marijuana And Bath Salts Approved

House Bill 1, banning synthetic marijuana and bath salts, was approved by the Maryland General Assembly in April- and that could go a long way toward clamping down on the growing problem in Allegany County. A law banning most of the substances and possible derivatives already exists in Allegany County. Delegate Kevin Kelly worked with Sheriff Craig Robertson and county commissioners to initiate the county law last year- and a similar state measure will now be on the books.  It’s a problem that has existed in the local school system for the past few years- and is deemed a major concern.
