The Allegany County Board of Education’s policy of not commenting or responding to constituents questions during public meetings has come under scrutiny in recent months- including criticisms from County Commissioner Bill Valentine. The commissioner, who once represented the county as an ex-officio member of the board, said he believes the policy is a bad one and lacks transparency.
