Board Candidate Criticizes Valentine on Comments

A candidate for a seat on the Allegany County Board of Education this week criticized County Commissioner Bill Valentine for remarks he made recently questioning a school board policy. The policy in question came to light during the school board’s December meeting when a woman asked questions about whether there would be an investigation into the recent series of incidents at Mountain Ridge High School. As is board policy, the elected officials did not respond to the questions. The next morning on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show”, Commissioner Valentine said it was a bad policy that should be changed as it reflects poorly on the board…
