Board of Ed Sees New Allegany as Economic Boost

Members of the Allegany County Board of  Education believe that the proposed new Allegany High School will not only provide a much improved learning environment for students- but also serve as a valuable economic development tool. Using Mountain Ridge High School in Frostburg as an example- board member Mike Llewellyn said that if the new Allegany in Cumberland ends up comparable to that school- it could attract new business to the area.
