Board agrees to seek additional security employees and mental health professionals

Last night at the Allegany County Board of Education meeting, members voted 5-0 to request a budget amendment that would allow for the hire of additoinal school security employees as well as mental health professionals in the school system. This would provide 4 school security employees, as well as 4 mental health professionals. A caller to WCBC's Dave Norman Show pointed out that the unanimous vote was achieved as a result of a suggestion from board member Wayne Foote:

The caller also asked officers in attendance at the meeting about a possible mentoring program for youth within the school system
