The Allegany County Board of Education on Tuesday approved a list of general budget priorities in preparing to begin work on the fiscal year 2018 operating budget- as concerns abound that the system will be dealing with budget cuts. Superintendent David Cox presented the board with a list of six areas of consideration and the board members all placed reducing classroom size; maintaining educational programs and not dipping into the vastly depleted reserve fund.
