BoE Budget Will Need Revised

The Allegany County Board of Education’s preliminary budget approved in early March will need to be revised. The board adopted the superintendents proposed budget on March 8th. That budget called for a two million increase in funding over last year’s allocation from the county commissioners. On Thursday, members of the board and Superintendent David Cox made the formal request to the commissioners during the county’s second round of budget hearings.
