BOE Conducting Investigation

One aspect of the internal investigation being conducted by the Allegany County Board of Education into sexual offense charges against a Mountain Ridge High School teacher will be to see if anyone: staff; administrative personnel; or faculty might have been aware of the situation when it was occurring but failed to report it. Charges have been filed against the teacher alledged to have had inappropriate relationships with two teenage students who attended the school, although according to police the incidents themselves took place at the teachers home, and not on school grounds. When asked during the interview on WCBC's "Dave Norman Show" if he believes there has been a cover-up Board member Mike Llewellyn said it's too early in the process to determine whether or not anyone at the school was aware of the situation…
