School Board president discusses lawsuit

The Allegany County Board of Education is facing a civil lawsuit stemming from the sexual offenses committed by a former Mountain Ridge High School teacher against two teenage students. A major sticking point, and one that could make or break the case, is whether any members of the faculty, staff and administration at the school knew what was going on- and whether or not it was reported. The Florida based attorney for one of the students has told WCBC News that there is evidence that several teachers were aware, and did in fact report the incidents. Allegany County Board of Education President Nick Hadley, appearing on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” Wednesday, said the board’s internal investigation into the matter had different results…
