Members of the Allegany County Board of Education and staff met recently with the Allegany County Commissioners to provide an update on the new Allegany High School project. Currently under construction, the school is scheduled to be completed by Memorial Day and open in August. Funding for the school, which totaled more than $51 million, was secured for the project. Board member Laurie Marchini said that anyone who has visited the existing Allegany will see immediately just how badly a new school was needed…
