In what could be the first step toward some elementary schools being closed or consolidated, Allegany County Board of Education President Laurie Marchini tells WCBC News that the board is putting together a committee to study re-districting. The system currently has 13 elementary schools, six of those in the city of Cumberland. Many of those buildings are not near capacity and Marchini says that is one reason re-districting will be considered….
