BoE Receives Overview Of State Report Card System; Approves Fiscal 2019 Audit

December 11th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

The Allegany County Board of Education received an overview of the state report card for the system, and although the data can be overwhelming, a star system with five as the highest and one as the lowest can give you a general overview.

Trina Simpson is the Assistant Supervisor for Assessments and Accountability for Allegany County Public Schools.

Further information is available via the Maryland State Board of Education website.

Other highlights from last night's meeting at Mountain Ridge High School. The board approved the Fiscal 2019 audit which will now be sent to the county commissioners, and all votes taken were unanimous.

The meeting was the first after the appointment of Dr. Ed Root to fill the vacancy created when Wayne Foote was removed.

To people in the Cumberland, MD. area, be on the lookout for a silver Toyota Camry or Corolla with a white male driver in his 20s or 30s with short blonde hair. He ran a stop sign downtown and almost hit me and my woman. He attempted to start an altercation and drove off. He’s reckless.
