BoE Requests Help From Delegation To Get Handle On Skyrocketing Healthcare Costs

As promised, members of the Allegany County Board of Education have made a request of the District One legislative delegation to explore ways to get a handle on the skyrocketing cost of health care. When the board discussed legislative priorities at its November meeting, several members said the estimated $25 million targeted for health care is having devastating effects on the system with cuts now having to be made that impact the classrooms and students.  Last week the board met with the delegation asking for help.
