The Allegany County Board of Education is in the process of revising its policy pertaining to sanctions against students who break the law or violate community standards. Currently student athletes are subject to suspensions from their sport if they do commit such violations. Plans are now being discussed to expand those sanctions to include any student participating in any extracurricular activities- which would include academic clubs.
