BoE Vice Presidents Says Board Does Need To Look Into Re-Negotiating Health Insurance Program

Allegany County Board of Education vice president Laurie Marchini tells WCBC News that the board does need to look into re-negotiating the health insurance program currently enjoyed by teachers and other employees- however implementing a dramatic shift in the split can’t be done. Some board employees are under a 90/10 or 85/15 split- which is costing the board more than $25 million annually the past few years. Marchini said some steps have been taken in that direction, but she acknowledges more needs to be done…
