Bon-Ton has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection. The retailer has had to take on massive debt in its fight to increase sales and move operations online to better face Amazon.
Bon-Ton currently operates 260 retail locations and recently outlined plans to shutdown more than 40 stores under it's various banners. Retail locations in Hagerstown and Johnstown have been slated to close while the location in LaVale will remain open.
Bon-Ton has said they will explore selling of the company or assets as a part of the reorganization progress…
