Boonsboro Woman Seriously Injured in Accident

On Friday morning at 1018 AM Troopers from the Hagerstown Barrack responded to the area of 20150 National Pike in Hagerstown MD for a single vehicle collision.  Upon arrival, TFC J. Bussard determined Cynthia Whitehurst, 69 years of age from Boonsboro, was operating a Dodge Caravan traveling on westbound on Rt. 40 in the area of Redamar Drive.  The vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a tree.  Whitehurst was transported by Maryland State Police Aviation Trooper 3 to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. 

     The collision is under investigation, Maryland State Police Advanced Collision Investigator Blumenauer is the primary investigator.
