The Military Bowl will be played this Saturday at the Navy Marine Corp Stadium in Annapolis. This is the second year that Annapolis is hosting the Military Bowl. The Virginia Tech Hokies will play the University of Cincinnati Bearcats at 12:30pm. The USO is a large part of the Military Bowl and there will be a large military presence because of that connection. Connie Del Signore – President and CEO of the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Convention and Visitors Bureau says the game will have about a $10 Million economic impact to the Washington/Annapolis region and about a $2 Million economic impact to the Annapolis/Anne Arundel County area. She adds that is not counting the publicity generated by national coverage of the game on ESPN. The day will begin with a 5K at 8:15am and a parade at 9am featuring the Budweiser Clydesdales in Annapolis.
