STATE POLICE REPORT:
On 02/21/2021 at approximately 0530 hours, the Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack received a call from in reference to a motor vehicle collision on National Highway @ Winchester Road, Allegany County, Maryland.
Initial investigation revealed that a Honda Ridgeline operated by a white male, left the road way and struck a concrete wall. During the collision the driver was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene. Next of kin was notified, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

The Joint Communications Center of Allegany County is reporting a fatal accident on National Highway near the Super 8 Motel at the intersection of Winchester Road.
The road had to be shut down in that location for the response of police, fire and EMS beginning in the 5 AM hour.
