BREAKING: Justice Orders Morgantown Area Bars To Close For Ten Days

July 13th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

West Virginia Governor Jim Justice today ordered all bars in Monongalia County, which is the Morgantown area, to close for ten days due to a spike in Coronavirus cases.

Justice also ordered crowd sizes to be limited to 25 people.  It had been 100.   That order will affect fairs, festivals and concerts statewide.

During the press conference, Governor Justice told WCBC's Paul Mullan that asking students returning to college from outside of the state to self quarantine for 14 days would be something he would consider in the coming month.

Oh, how the high and mighty and “open” have fallen…. Here’s a thought: Maybe cancel your festivals, fairs and concerts for now. How in the world are you going to monitor and limit crowd sizes to 25?? Quit playing around with human petri dishes of Coronavirus!

Ten days is all we need. On the 11th day everything will be back to normal.
