BREAKING: New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Allegany County Nursing Home

April 11th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

The Allegany County Health Department reports that there are now 14 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county. This includes three cases at a local long-term care facility. Two staff members and one resident of a nursing home have tested positive for COVID-19. The health department and nursing home are working together to minimize the spread of COVID-19 in the facility.

It is more important now than ever to practice social distancing and to stay at home as much as possible. Even essential personnel should stay at home if they feel sick.

Sure would be helpful if the name of the home was included. I’m sure folks who have any loved one in a local facility would appreciate knowing.

They don’t think it will get out as to which nursing home? This is dumb. Now instead of people making rational decisions based on CORRECT info, now we’ll have more gossip and panic from EVERYONE that has any connection with EVERY nursing home in the County! Whether they have a loved one living there or working there. Our Health Dept is run by complete f-in idiots. And more info doesn’t NOT have to violate ANY patient rights (HIPA)
