Brinkley Discusses Governors “One Maryland” Philosophy

Throughout much of the eight years of the Martin O’Malley administration, local officials in Allegany County spoke often of what they believed was a “war on rural Maryland”. It’s a criticism that has not been lost on republican Governor Larry Hogan. Hogan has made the rural parts of the state a focal point during his first year and a half in office- returning to the “one Maryland” philosophy. Part of that process has been  to see to it that all of his cabinet secretaries spend time in western Maryland- including the head of Budget and Management David Brinkley. He talked with WCBC News about the governor’s approach during a stop in Cumberland earlier this week…
