Brock Encourages Repaving Great Allegheny Passage Trail

Nearly 150,000 used the Great Allegheny Passage in Allegany County last year- making it by far one of the largest tourist attractions in the region. The GAP winds 150 miles through the mountains of Southwest Pennsylvania and connects Cumberland to Pittsburgh. Larry Brock, president of Mountain Maryland Trails, told the city council this month that unfortunately some of the blacktopped portion of the trail in Cumberland are in poor condition- and he would like to see the city pave those sections.
