Brodie Points to MSHA as Hindering Economic Development

Although there have been a number of meetings involving state and local leaders in recent months with the Maryland State Highway Administration- Allegany County Commissioner Creade Brodie Jr says problems with potential economic development opportunities are continuing because the state agency.  Brodie has been a vocal critic over the summer of the SHA, saying that he had been made aware of several new businesses attempting to start up in the area only to run into state highway red tape and road blocks when it comes to permits. While meetings with SHA officials led to offers of assurances that there would be no further problems, Brodie says he is still hearing concerns…
