Brodie Wants to Study Multiple Community Water System

Improvements and upgrades that have been, and will be made to the Jennings Run /Wills Creek Sanitary District systems have led to rate increases for customers in recent years.  The rehabilitations of the plants, in most cases, the result of a state mandate to eliminate Combined Sewer Overflows. Allegany County Commissioner Creade Brodie Jr. has asked the county’s public works department to conduct a study to see if development of a new system to accommodate several communities would prove less costly than the series of mandated improvements to the current facilities.
