The City of Cumberland would like to notify the public on behalf of Shaffer Construction a contractor for Columbia Gas of Maryland of the following road work. Starting on Monday, June 24, 2019, thru Friday, June 28, 2019, milling and paving work will be taking place on Brookfield Avenue.
Brookfield Avenue will be closed during construction from 6am-6pm. Detours will be set up to direct traffic around the site. Parking will be restricted in the areas during construction. Please use caution in the area and follow detour signage.

Which parts of Brookfield? There are three blocks, starting at Oldtown Road, then block two passes the Johnson Heights Medical Building and the third leads up to Greenway Avenue and the stadium. Are all three going to be closed at the same time?

So typical of WCBC. Every time they report an accident and/or road closure, they don’t report the time. That is of no use to the public. The first order of journalism is Who, What, When, Why and Where.
