Delegate-elect Jason Buckel continues to express serious concerns for the future direction of Canal Place as a whole- as well as development plans for the Footer Dye Works building. As a result, he has scheduled a meeting with Canal Place Authority Chair Rick Thayer and Footer developer Michael Joy to discuss some of the specifics. Buckel isn’t alone as all of the members of the District 1 legislative delegation remain concerned over a potential $1.5 million expenditure for period windows in the Footer building. Buckel is questioning the concept and direction of Canal Place and would like to see a firm financial investment from the developer, rather than relying heavily on state and/or federal grants…
