Busch Comments on Gambling as Revenues Rise

The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency announced last week that December 2014 revenue numbers for the state’s five casinos – Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore in Baltimore City, Casino at Ocean Downs in Worcester County, Maryland Live Casino in Anne Arundel County, and Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Allegany County. December 2014’s combined statewide revenue totaled $85,629,901. Rocky Gap Casino Resort’s December 2014 revenue increased by $449,689, or 17.1%, from December 2013. Rocky Gap Casino Resort operates 577 slot machines and 17 table games (15 banking and 2 non-banking).  Legalizing slots and casinos was a deliberate process in Maryland- with lawmakers skeptical about moving forward with expanded gaming as presented in 2004.
