The Cumberland Mayor and Council will meet in closed administrative session Tuesday evening beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the second floor conference room of City Hall. The council will discuss the contract for the City Administrator and a personnel matter. At the public meeting, the council will consider the order authorizing a memorandum of understanding with the health system and the board of education to facilitate the transfer of land to enable the building of the new Allegany High School on Haystack Mountain.

The City Council and Mayor should support this land swap. It’s good for Cumberland because they will make money off of the land from taxes and it will allow for a new Allegany to be built in Cumberland. If they are even half as smart as I know they are, they will unanimously support this!
