The Allegany County Board of Education will meet in Executive Session Tuesday at 3:30 P at the Center for Career and Technical Education. The brief meeting will focus on Superintendent Dr. David Cox's report on the preliminary findings of the study being conducted by Facility Engineering Associates. Again the session is a closed session.
In a meeting that will not be open to the general public, all Allegany County Public School staff members have been invited to a get together regarding school safety, security and mental health issues. The forum will be split into two sessions, one at 4 PM and the other directly following at 5 PM in the auditorium at the Career Center on McMullen Highway.
Cumberland officials will hold a budget work session Tuesday afternoon beginning at 5 PM. That public session will be followed by the regularly scheduled public meeting of the Mayor and City Council at 6:15 PM. Part of that meeting will be devoted to staff recommendations for awards through the Community Development Block Grant Program.
