Maryland United States Senator Ben Cardin filed for reelction Monday.
The 74 year old Cardin told WCBC at PACE that he always runs on his record and the issues, and will do so again.
One of the candidates he will face in the Democratic primary election is Chelsea Manning, a former US Army Private who is now a transgender woman. Manning was convicted of leaking over 700,000 sensitive documents.
The filing deadline is February 27th for the June 26th Maryland Primary election.
