Cardin Points to Iran Deal as Issue with North Korea

President Donald Trump will meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on June 12 in Singapore, the US president announced Thursday on Twitter.  The summit, which has been in the works since Trump accepted Kim's invitation to meet in March, will be the first ever meeting between a sitting US president and North Korean leader. The news comes on the day after the president announced the United States will be backing out of the Iran Nuclear deal. Senator Ben Cardin, a Maryland Democrat, says he believes Trump’s decision to bail out of the Iranian deal could negatively impact talks with North Korea…
