Cardin Representative Comments on DNC

The Democratic National Convention wrapped up Thursday night in Philadelphia in historic fashion with Hillary Clinton accepting her party’s nomination for president- becoming the first women in history to do so. The convention started on shakey ground Monday with disruptions and protests coming from the supporters of Senator Bernie Sanders- however by Thursday most of those had died down. Robin Summerfield, a Clinton delegate and the western Maryland representative for U.S. Senator Ben Cardin told WCBC News he viewed the convention as a tremendous success, and a stark contrast to whay many viewed as a doom and gloom republican convention last week. A goal of party leaders this week has been to make Clinton a more appealing candidate, and Summerfield says it remains to be seen if that has been achieved…
