Cardin talks with local officials about proposed Canal Place River Project

Maryland U.S. Senator Ben Cardin will join federal, state and local partners in Cumberland Friday morning for for an update and conversation on the planned development of public access and recreational features at the Potomac River waterfront in Cumberland.   Cardin, a senior member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, underscored his commitment to working to ensure that such transformative local projects have the resources to move forward. The senator also discussed with participants the many ways that local partnerships can expand the economic benefits of federal investments in such projects.
