Cash Valley Elementary School celebrated Super Science Week from February 29th through March 3rd. The week consisted of a variety of hands-on science activities including the Aquatic Mobile Science Lab sponsored by the Maryland Agricultural Education Foundation; presentation of roller coasters designed by the fourth grade students; designing and engineering towers by first grade students; flip bottle investigation by fifth grade students; dissecting of major body organs from pigs by Kyle and Kristi Hopkins, biology graduates of Potomac State College; and sorting and classifying of different animal groups by biology Professor Erin Cunningham from Potomac State University. Parents were invited throughout the week to visit a science lesson in the classroom and experience their child thinking and reasoning scientifically.
