Cavanaugh Field, one of the more popular locations in the city for youth baseball and softball, is getting a minor face lift. The Cumberland Mayor and City Council recently voted to accept the bid of Shaffer Construction to renovate the facility for an estimated price of $58,740. City Administrator Jeff Rhodes said the ball field, located in South Cumberland between Queen and Bowen streets near the UPS operation, will see improvements to the concession area as well as other upgrades in the coming weeks…
