CDS Arrest Made After I-68 Stop

On April 07, 2012 Maryland State Police were working speed enforcement in the area of W/B I-68 @ Rocky Gap State Park. A silver 2001 Saturn 1200 was stopped for going 110 mph in a 65 mph zone.

     A Trooper then made contact with the occupants of the vehicle. The driver was identified as Kelsey Lee Clark, (21) of Cumberland.  The front seat passenger was identified as Donald Christopher Jones Jr., (26) of Cumberland. During this time the Trooper noticed the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

    A search of the entire vehicle was then initiated. Troopers located 2 baggies of marijuana containing a total of 56.6 grams hidden inside the trunk.

    Both suspects were subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland Barrack for processing.  They were then taken before the District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing.
