The Cumberland Economic Development Corporation earlier this month announced the hiring of Paul Kelly Jr. as executive director. Kelly has been a private practice attorney for more than a decade and has an office on Washington Street. He will be closing his practice July 24 to become full-time director of the nonprofit CEDC. Kelly replaces Shawn Hershberger who left to take a job in Winchester, Virginia. Matt Miller, who had served as acting director for the CEDC, will remain with the corporation.
