The Allegany County Chamber of Commerce/Allegany County Economic Development Strategic Plan Workgroup provided an overall update to the county commissioners last week. It’s a joint committee of the county and the chamber of commerce designed to put into place a long range plan for economic development. The Chambers Executive Director Stu Czapski initiated some spirited discussion on the topic last month when he suggested there was no real vision in place for economic development. Since that time the county commissioners have made several concerted efforts to draw attention to the recently updated economic development plans and objectives.
