Change In Leadership At Cumberland Salvation Army

Change at the top is business as usual for the Salvation Army across the nation- and there is new leadership in place at the Cumberland operation just in time for Christmas. Effective last week, Sgt James Dillingham was appointed to head the local operation, replacing Captain Melvin Welch who had been at the helm since July of 2010. The top spot has changed but the mission remains the same- especially during these final days leading up to Christmas. Sgt Dillingham was introduced to the area with an appearance Tuesday on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show”. He says the bells of The Salvation Army are not simply a sign of the season — they are a call for help…
