On Tuesday afternoon at at approximately 1:54 PM deputies of the Allegany County Sheriff's Office responded to an incident occurring in the Bel Air area in which a juvenile subject was injured by a vehicle. The child was treated on scene and transported by Maryland State Police Aviation Command to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown,West Virginia to be further treated for possible life-threatening injuries. The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Cresaptown Fire Department and Allegany County Department of Emergency Services.
The incident is still under investigation by a reconstructionist of the Allegany County Sheriff's Office.
