Chronic Wasting Area Expanded By DNR

The Maryland DNR has updated its management approach for chronic wasting disease after five white tailed deer tested positive last winter in Allegany County.

One of those deer was harvested near Cumberland, about 10 miles west of all other cases.

The management area now includes all of Allegany, and western Washington counties.
