City Cuts Trees To Comply With Corps

March 23rd, 2015 by WCBC Radio

The City of Cumberland has contracted with a service to remove trees near the Narrows end of Wills Creek to comply with the U S Army Corps of Engineers requirement of a 10 foot buffer strip with nothing other than grass vegitation contiguous to the Flood Control Project.

A source with the city also said it's expected that property owners along the project will also have to comply with the regulation, but a timeline has yet to be determined.
