The Cumberland Mayor and City Council will meet this evening at 6:15 at City Hall.  During a recent work session, CEDC Executive Director Paul Kelly gave an update on what he says is an aggressive timeline for key dates regarding the renovation of the Downtown Mall…

Tonight, it’s anticipated that City Council will approve a CEDC request to make a short term loan of $500,000 for the purchase of the former M & T Bank Building on Baltimore Street that is hoped to house a Boutique Hotel.

Rolling Mill is such a wiz bang hit, of course we need to dump more money down a rabbit hole. This is idiocy, totally and completely.

Correct me if I’m wrong here but wouldn’t the build out of a 48 room hotel in that building be in incredibly expensive? A hotel of that size would require 50+ bathrooms. Has an investor been identified?
