City Man Arrested for Trespassing

On April 19, 2018 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to the Department of Social Services located at 1 Frederick Street for a subject refusing to leave.  Upon the officers arrival they were informed by an employee that they wanted Charles Butler removed from the property. According to the employee, Butler entered the reception area without signing in and began to cause a disturbance.  Mr. Butler who was intoxicated was asked to leave the building. Butler refused to leave the building and pulled away from the officers. Butler was placed under arrest, and escorted from the building. Butler was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  Butler was processed and served with two criminal citations before being released.

 

Arrested: Charles Orville Butler                                        Age: 46 of Cumberland, Maryland

Charges: Trespassing and Disorderly Conduct.
